Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda's planned trip to Beijing from Dec. 12 to 13 has been canceled at the request of China, Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura said Wednesday.
China sited domestic political reasons for the cancellation, he said, adding that the two countries are working to reschedule the trip to take place before the end of the year. It will be the first time Noda visits Beijing since he became prime minister in September. (Japan Times)
