A Japan Airlines flight bound for Sydney returned to Narita airport after a seat caught fire Saturday night, forcing the passengers to stay in Japan overnight.
A cabin attendant confirmed a small fire on a seat in business class at 8:20 p.m. shortly after the Boeing 777, carrying 260 passengers and crew members, took off from Narita, JAL said.
A lighter was found on the seat but JAL has yet to identify who it belonged to, it said, adding no one was injured in the incident. (Japan Times)
