A train suffered a malfunction and brought all train services on the JR Keiyo Line connecting Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture to a halt for about three hours Wednesday morning, forcing about 1,500 trapped passengers to alight from the train and walk to the next station, East Japan Railway Co. said.
