Tokyo stocks dropped for a seventh consecutive trading day Wednesday, with the benchmark Nikkei index ending at a two-month low below the 9,500 line on renewed fears about the eurozone debt crisis and its resulting impact on the global economy.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 79.28 points, or 0.83 percent, from Tuesday at 9,458.74, its lowest closing level since Feb. 17. (Mainichi)
