Bus operator raided over fatal highway crash

Police raided Monday the operator of a chartered bus that crashed on the Kanetsu Expressway in Gunma Prefecture the previous day, killing seven passengers and injuring 39. Investigators from the Gunma prefectural highway police entered the offices of the bus operator, Rikuentai, in Inzai, Chiba Prefecture, and related places to search for evidence regarding the firm's possible negligence leading to the fatal accident.
